I digitally illustrated two educational children's books; “Savannah’s Eco Adventures: Field Guide to Aquatic Insects”, where I additionally contributed some general typesetting, layout, and digital photo editing, and Savannah’s Eco Adventures: Composting, a coloring book which I also contributed by typesetting as well as creating some of the activities in the back.
I started out with screen printing, preparation, and later was promoted to packaging design and publishing the monthly company catalog, in addition to other duties such as taking product photos. By my second year, I was head of the graphics department, in charge of training and managing new employees.
During my 4 years with the company, I designed numerous packages & labels for our company brands. I created and managed the company catalogs for the months of May 2013 thru July 2015. Catalog duties included page layout, typesetting, writing product descriptions, design, running inventory, exporting & uploading to press.
Following my move to Daytona Beach, I continued to work as a freelance and temporary employee for Ahlborn Equipment until early 2017.
My main study of focus in high school was digital multimedia design. I studied everything from illustration, photo manipulation, flash animation, slideshow presentations, and web design. During my junior year, I was assigned as a teacher's assistant with independent study.
I am currently enrolled at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, FL. My focus of study is interactive media and graphic design. I am also an editor, journalist and cartoonist for the campus newspaper “InMotion” and art director for “Aeolus” literary magazine.
In 2017, I received 3 awards from the FCSPA for my work in student publications, including 2nd place editorial comic and 2nd place comic strip (InMotion), and 1st place for editing (Aeolus.)
I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies & interests. My main hobbies would be digital illustration & design, but I also find great joy in writing, tinkering with computers (Repairs, upgrades etc.), sewing, crafts, and cooking.I am also somewhat of an adventurous spirit. I'm not afraid of jumping headfirst into trying new things, whether it be food, meeting new people, or experiencing a new atmosphere or culture. I love expanding my mind and like to make a habit of learning something new every day.
